The latest issue of Famitsu has a first look at Initial D Extreme Stage, a PS3 version of the Japanese racer that's known in arcades as Initial D Arcade Stage 4. Overall, I'd still much rather drop coin on the latest arcade machine at a Round One or something if I could, but this game for $30 isn't too awful of an alternative. IMHO, Initial D extreme stage is a missed opportunity on the PS3, its not like the hardware is pushed terribly hard, and there is more they could have done to bring the Initial D experience to the home than this okay-ish port of the arcade. That said, it's still reasonably fun if you can cope with the wonky physics and it has a pretty satisfying tuning progression system. You can watch some youtube videos to get an idea. I can't speak to how it plays with a wheel, but the driving feel is just REALLY slippery with some occasionally questionable/frustrating weirdness.
